I often see these terms misused, misunderstood, tossed around with the rest of the new age lingo that points toward a conceptual grasp at understanding but does not stem from a knowing of what the meaning truly is.
Let's clear some of that up right now, shall we?
Updated TLDR: A Spirit is developed after an incarnation process has already begun to take place or has completed.A Soul is the blank canvas before that process begins. Before the blueprint even begins to establish. The Soul is a fragment of the Oversoul. The most raw experience of Being or Becoming.
TLDR: Note - this will be a dense statement. For clarification and support in understanding, skip reading this first and come back to at the end.A Soul is a fragment of the Oversoul. Which could also be described as All That Is. Or Existence. Or Source. (I'll save the God concept for another day - that might muddle my point here as its so widely believed in with such fervent and rarely those deeper questions like: what the fuck am I actually talking about here?). The Soul is what seeds the character and Being that we Become. Spirit, is the Being in the Energetic. It has already character, some definition. Spirits can be our guides, angelic friends, unseen beings, our self in various forms.

Great Spirit is an expression of the highest form of Spirit. There are directives available, guidance and wisdom to be shared from this space. You don't see many praying to the Great Oversoul.. do you? No... that would set us solidly in the Void of All That Is. No-Thingness to weave, to be concerned with, to experience, simply existing is where we'd find ourselves. Which, is an incredible, weightless, definitionless space to be. And for all you meditators, seekers, and Spiritual beings. Yes - it's worth it. It's also the highest form of the Masculine. (Let's put a pin on that, shall we? I'll write something up on that sometime soon - or perhaps I'll set up a space to record some YouTube videos.. much of what I have to share is rather informationally dense.. it could help for it to land.)

Cool - Let's move on shall we?
Oneness is, in general, an expression referring to all being connected.. interwoven.. part of one whole. One expression of the Divine. One experience. Now, we've seen people use this to excuse various behaviors, not taking radical responsibility, bypassing the very sacredness of Humanness in favor of a more Spiritual way of living.
We are all One. As in - we originate from the Oversoul. We are energy in Motion. We are the basis of expression and life experiencing itself. We can see ourselves in one another, in the birds, the lands, the plants and evolution of the collective.
As One - we offer our thanks for the uniqueness of expression.. of experiencing.. We embody gratitude for all the facets that life has to offer. We honor the varied densities and definitions and contrasts of polarity.
We embrace our Separateness even though, it can feel as though a part of our selves is homesick. This is because we are connected. This is because we tap into Existence. We know Oneness intimately.
We in ways, conscious or unconscious, remember what it is to be that Oversoul. The One. And the separation process into becoming a fragment of that Oversoul and thus, a Soul, beginning a process of Becoming, can be heartbreaking in its beauty and it's longing.
And as we embrace this experience of Separating... Our Spirit gathers definition. Lessons, wisdom, challenges, stories and ways of being. We feel guidance from this space. Connection from this space. We can tap in and tune in.. meaning become consciously aware because the connection is never not there.
Let me say that again: We are never not connected.
Meaning: We are always connected.
We just may become unconscious of this connection, or allow other elements to cloud the clarity of the connecting.
But in the core - we are always connected.
Our Soul means we are always part of The One - we could take that a step further and say we are always an expression of The One.
Our Spirit means we get to experience far beyond the physical, connect with beings beyond the realms of the dense matter of earth. Means we get to call on the connection of the Spirit we are, and those that move through life with us to request, access, integrate wisdom far beyond what the Human mind can conceive of.
It's incredible to be a Being of this Earth.
And I, for One, am grateful.
